Accountability and Performance in Secondary Education in the Milwaukee Public Schools
This two-year grant, received from the U.S. Department
of Education and administered by the Council of the Great City Schools,
uses Milwaukee Public School (MPS) middle and high school transcript data to develop an "Early
Warning" system to identify students at high risk of dropping out.
Parallel tracks of work involved with the project include the
development of an "on-time" indicator of student progress each year and
the expansion of the existing MPS system of value-added performance to
the high school level.
