Atlanta Public Schools Value-Added Project
Atlanta Public Schools (APS) works with VARC to produce value-added measures in order to implement a comprehensive performance management system that fairly and accurately distinguishes performance among teachers and schools. APS serves 50,000 students and VARC provides reports of our value-added scores based on Reading, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies for all tested students. These scores help to inform schools and educators about their performance and their comparative impact on student achievement.
