Professional Development, Reports, and Technical Assistance
At VARC, we recognize the importance of supporting both the development of value-added measures and the systems and people served by these measures. We support a variety of stakeholders in key areas such as:
- Professional Development: Needs-based, in-person and distance trainings and tools for interpreting and using value-added data and other measures of educator performance
- Reports: Easy-to-understand materials geared toward non-technical audiences to guide in using data, including school, grade, and teacher-level value-added reports
- Technical Assistance: Consulting in a range of technical and policy areas to support innovation in human capital management and performance-based compensation systems
Our work ranges from facilitating educator trainings at the local and district level in places such as Racine, WI, Tulsa, OK, and Los Angeles, CA to providing technical support at the state and national level for the Teacher Incentive Fund program. Through these efforts, VARC hopes to drive the systemic, sustainable improvement of schools and outcomes for all students.
