VARC’s Meyer to Serve on Panel at National School Measures Summit
SEPTEMBER 2013
The Value-Added Research Center’s Executive Director Rob Meyer will be a featured panelist at the 2013 School Measures Summit on Oct. 1 in Washington, D.C.
Meyer will discuss, “Measuring Student Growth: What Have We Learned?” alongside John White, director of the Education Value-Added Assessment System at SAS Institute, an analytics software company.
The one-day gathering, organized by Gallup, Battelle for Kids, and the School Improvement Network, is free to attend. The intent of the summit is to bring together national educational leaders to “collaborate around ideas for using multiple measures to personalize education and prepare students for success in the workplace and in life; explore how school systems from across the global are measuring hope, engagement, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, and other skills to create pathways of success for every student; and discuss how to measure college and career readiness in the 21st century,” according to the conference website.
